Regional Track and Field Meet We had great weather today for the regional meet in Fremont. The girls finished 11 th overall and turned in some awesome performances. The top 8 earned medals and are All-Region. Linnea Paige finished 2 nd in the 3200 with a PR time of 11:57.29 and qualifying for the state meet on June 1 st . She also finished 3 rd in the 1600 with a new PR of 5:28.14. The 4x100 team of Victoria Ekkel, Rachel Maddox, Lily Kate Christoffersen, and Kira Manchip finished 7 th with a new PR of 52.60 just missing the school record. The 4x200 team of Victoria Ekkel, Rachel Maddox, Jessie Kendziorski, and Cayman Ramsey finished 4 th with a new PR of 1:51.32. Victoria Ekkel finished 5 th in the 100 and 8 th in the 200. Students who earned PRs included: Cayman Ramsey in the 200 meter. Jailyn Saum in the 400 meter. Joelle Patten in the 800 meter, missing the medal spot by one place. Track and Field Regionals The boys finished 6 th with 57 points. We competed well, with scoring in a variety of events. PRs went to Nathan Burns in the Discus and Jacob Burns in the 200 dash. Athletes placing in the top 8 were all region. Those honors went to: Jacob Burns - 200 Issac Romero - 800 Sean Pettis - Regional Champion in the 1600 and 3200 Blake Taylor - 1600 Carter Sherman - 3200 Daniel Romero - 110 Hurdles, 300 Hurdles, Long Jump 4x100 Relay - Trentyn Corley, Connor Pettis, John Vissia, Jacob Burns 4x200 Relay - Jacob Burns, Connor Pettis, Silas Rinne, Trentyn Corley State Qualifiers - Sean Pettis and Daniel Romero The State Finals are on June 1st.
